Big Impact, One Bottle at a Time

A Made-in-Alberta Success Story

Alberta’s deposit return system is the largest in Canada, collecting 2.2 billion containers in 2024—an 83.1% return rate.

Recycling that Actually Recycles

90% of beverage containers collected are recycled by North American processors who use them as feedstock in the production of new products.

Economic Engines

Depots employ nearly 1,200 Albertans, support dozens of local vendors and return more than $600,000 in deposits to Albertans every single day.

Community Builders

Every year, bottle depots help Albertans raise more than $30 million to fund everything from local teams to wildfire relief to charities that support sick children.
