Happy Can Bottle Depot (Calgary) - June 2018

On Thursday, we were excited to celebrate two amazing groups here in Calgary: Happy Can Bottle Depot [link: https://www.findadepot.ca/happycan] and Recycle For Life [link: https://www.recycle4life.ca/]. This month’s Applaud came from Laurie Clayton of Recycle for Life and highlighted the great staff and management at the Happy Can Bottle Depot and their partnership to support KidSport here in Calgary [link: http://www.kidsportcanada.ca/alberta/calgary/]:

"I wanted to make sure that Happy Can gets recognized for their customer service, cleanliness, and honesty! We have been working with Happy Can for some time now and find it is THE best in Calgary!"

Here to present the Applaud was both Laurie and her husband, Gord, Kevin Webster from KidSport and MLA Robyn Luff of Calgary East. Ms. Luff reminisced about her own experiences as Happy Can is her local Depot and how she worked in a Depot back when she was an undergrad at the University of Victoria. “The work you do each day gives back to the community. Each year, over $30 Million goes back to the groups like KidSport and allows amazing social programs like it to exist across Alberta.”

Appy Bhullar and his family are celebrating their 10-year anniversary as owners of Happy Can this year and are committed to partners such as Recycle For Life and KidSport as well as their loyal customers across Calgary.
